The Sea Life Centre outside Oban have an otter enclosure. This is a North American River Otter rather than the slightly smaller Eurasian Otter that is native to Scotland. But there is a reason for this, the North American variety is active during the day, whereas the Scottish otter tends to be mostly nocturnal – not a great attribute at a tourist attraction.
