The view across the Brankeet Arm of Lake Eildon at Bonnie Doon. You can almost hear Darryl Kerrigan ask “How’s the serenity”?
You can see the trees that grew in the empty dam during the drought that are now submerged. If I have given anyone the “We’re going to Bonnie Doon, we’re going to Bonnie Doon” earworm Sorry, not sorry!
A close-up of Susan sat on the Bonnie Doon railway bridge back in November 2011.
Susan enjoys the spring sunshine at the lookout on the Bonnie Doon Railway Bridge. The bridge used to take the Mansfield railway line over the Brankeet Arm of Lake Eildon. In 1999 it was converted for use part of the cycle and walking path.
Looking along 385m long foot bridge at Bonnie Doon. The bridge was built to carry the Mansfield railway line across the Brankeet Arm of Lake Eildon. In 1999 it was converted for use as part of a bike and walking trail.
A jet skier shows how high the water was in Lake Eildon as he passes under the Maroondah Hwy bridge at Bonnie Doon. Now I’m going to have to find the photos where there was just a trickle of water with four wheel drives, cows and trees.
Another view from Skyline Road, the back road that runs from Eildon through to Bonnie Doon.
Some rookie mistakes with the panorama with different exposures on the left of the tree and a slightly different viewpoint.
The view of Lake Eildon from the Skyline Road, either from the Skyline Road Lookout or Goschnicks Lookout. Skyline Road runs between Eildon and Bonnie Doon.
Not quite sure where this was, but it was close by the dam lookout at Eildon.
The view from the lookout down the spillway, on towards the Eildon Pondage, and the Goulburn River.
