It seems that yellow-tailed black cockatoos are like buses. After seeing a pair just before Christmas and up pop another pair yesterday while on a bike ride with Zoe.
The salsify flowers are pretty enough, but the real attraction are the seed heads or puff balls which come in about 10cm across. This really shows the family resemblance with their dandelion relatives.
Build me up Buttercup. I just couldn’t capture those lovely glossy petals.
Another burst of sunny spring weather brought the opportunity to escape into the fresh air during Lockdown 6.0. Strangely enough given free reign we ended up passing a playground.
After an afternoon exploring, and dodging showers, I got home to see this wonderful rainbow.

A welcome respite from a run of rainy winter days in Melbourne. Blue sky and sunshine prompted a wander along the Brushy Creek Trail. A temporary escape to the country in the middle of suburbia and a slightly different view of Mt Dandenong.
