An Australian Wood Duck close to the footpath around the Rowville lakes behind work. The duck was happy to try to stare me down rather than get out of my way. That is until I bent down to take a photo!

Summer hit with a vengeance this week with a 44°C day. Only a few weeks ago this pond behind work was teeming with little fish and insects flitting around the surface. Now all that remains is cracked mud.
