The view of Sydney Harbour from Fort Denison. A wonderful spot to take in the sights – the Opera House, the Harbour Bridge, and passing ferries.
The view from the Illawarra Fly Tree Top Walk. The steel tree top walk combined with the Illawarra Escarpment combine to give an amazing vantage point. From the Tree Top Walk we are looking across Lake Illawarra from over Albion Park on the near side across to Port Kembla, with the Tasman Sea on the horizon.
Cathedral Rocks in Kiama Downs has been sculpted from volcanic rock by erosion.
Blowhole Point and the Kiama Light seen from the Bombo Headland, looking across Storm Bay.
Kiama is the home of two blowholes, this is the little one. When there isn’t much swell the little blowhole is the more spectacular of the two. And so we found it on our visit in 2009, with the big blowhole managing barely a splutter.
The Quoraburagun Pinnacles is a section of coast where red clay sits on top of the white sand, leaving red and white stripes.
Me enjoying the view from the Disaster Bay Lookout in just over the border NSW.
The view down the coast from the Disaster Bay Lookout along the Wonboyn Beach and Wonboyn River.
Susan enjoys the view at Pulpit Rock, just around the coast from the Green Cape Lighthouse.
The Green Cape Lighthouse, the first lighthouse in Australia built of concrete. Green Cape is also notable in being the tallest lighthouse in NSW and the most southerly lighthouse in the state.
