Too-roo-dun, the bunyip of the Koo Wee Rup Swamp. It was said to live in the mud of of waterhole that never dried up, and had a reputation of being devouring human flesh. Now the bunyip can is found on the banks of Sawtells Inlet in Tooradin.
This red flowering gum (Corymbia ficifolia) was full of flowers and very happy bees. It is a part of Tooradin’s Avenue of Honour. which is unusual in using native trees rather than exotics.
I spotted this feral passion fruit vine on a lunchtime walk. By the look of it there is going to be a good crop.

While I was out for a later than normal dog-walk I bumped into this fellow. Hopefully, I haven’t done my dash for Santa presents this year 🙂 !
The decision to have a change of scenery for our evening walk paid off with the clown and this smile rainbow. Blossom and I really appreciated the impromptu art show.

We had a quick Sunday afternoon trip up to Sassafras in the Dandenongs for a quick spot of Christmas shopping. This mural of the Mad Hatter’s Tea Party on the side of Tea Leaves was an added bonus.
I’m not sure that this is what Coles had in mind, but the ice cream was definitely dropped! And I promise that this is just the way I found it.
Another evening, another dog walk. This time under threatening clouds, luckily the rain seemed to go all around us and we made it home dry.
