The 3.5m tall magpie stands in Euroa’s Seven Creeks Park, on what was once the old Hume Hwy. Barrwarrang is the local Taungurung people’s word for magpie. While Swoop was a popular community suggestion based on what magpies are renowned for at this time of year. Swoop is the work of Longwood artist Steve Tobin and Tank.
A red and tan Australian Kelpie competes in the Euroa Agricultural Show Sheepdog Trials. Backing sheep, jumping on to the sheep, allows the kelpie to access parts of the yard that it otherwise couldn’t get to on the ground.
The back streets of Euroa were even more fruitful than the main street! A bus converted into a motor home and branded as a “Hornebago” in a Winnebago type font. The tag line should surely be “if the bus is rocking, don’t come a-knocking!”

The AP Gardiner Building, 45-47 Railway Street, Euroa, is named after the original owner. It was built in 1901 after the first weatherboard store burnt down. The AP Gardiner building has been the home for a variety of businesses since it was built. One of the residents is the local weekly paper, the Euroa Gazette.
