One tradition on the Victorian Dog Showing circuit is the annual Samoyed Club of Victoria’s Santa Sleigh pull at the the Yarra Valley Kennel Club show. This is the last show before Christmas at KCC Park, so it is an excellent opportunity for some Santa action.
Samoyeds were originally bred for reindeer herding and sledge hauling in the artic, making them a good choice to help Santa; something that they managed admirably with a little guidance from their owners.
Gracie the Puli [^] takes a moment to recover from a hectic show schedule at the Shepparton Show.
Pulis are a small to medium breed of herding dog from Hungary. They have with a tightly curled, corded coat that can grow to touch the ground. With a full-grown coat a puli will seem to glide around the show ring.
