Kilsyth Rainbow July 2020

Kilsyth Rainbow July 2020

I was going to add to this post that I thought that this was going to be the last of the rainbows. But last week we went back into stage 3 lockdown with a surge in COVID-19 infections in metropolitan Melbourne. School holidays have been extended by a week, and today we found out that most students will go back to remote learning for at least 4 weeks. So looking for a silver lining to this cloud, we may see more rainbows!

I think the only place that I have seen these signs with any consistency is around Kilsyth and Mooroolbark, and this is one of the better preserved ones. Which begs the question: Is Horse Riding Prohibited if the “prohibited” is this faded and worn?

I wouldn’t have found these guys peeking out of the longish grass without the help of a “proper” photographer. He was armed with scissors and was not afraid to flatten and trim to get the shots he was after.

I know we live in interesting time, but this is a little prescriptive! I’m not sure what the process is, or how they start the day, but you could end up being in this suburban mower shop for quite some time.
