Once we had landed we headed back to Fergusson’s Winery to sign the Wedding Certificate and to enjoy a champagne breakfast. A glass of champagne is a traditional celebration for both at weddings and after a hot air balloon flight.

The Wedding Party, and Hot Air Balloon, on landing posed for photo’s.
Tieing The Knot
Yes, this is where the phrase comes from – and we did it literally. The knot is still tied and safe in a bag – somewhere . . . .
Signing The Register
Susan signs away her single life back at Fergusson's Winery
The Wedding Has Landed
After over one hour in the air, we touched down in a sheep paddock. Susan is busy moving her rings around to the right place, while the photographer takes a break.
Furry – A Witness
Yes, we have a photo of “Fer”, back on the ground and waiting for her champagne breakfast. As part of the informal and intimate wedding, we decided that there would be no Best Man and Bride’s Maid. We asked our siblings, Susan’s brother and my sister. Susan’s brother managed to stay away from the camera, but Furry didn’t manage – which is unusual – seen here in her “Teddy Bear” coat.
Misty Sunrise
Another perfect day breaks over the Yarra Valley. You couldn’t order better weather for a wedding, or a ride in a hot air balloon.
