Our second night in the motorhome was spent just outside of Inveraray, in the almost deserted Argyle Caravan Park right on the shore of Loch Fyne.

One of three gold and silver table ornaments in the State Dining Room of Inveraray Castle. These intricate pieces of metalwork are known as nefs, named after an early type of three masted ocean-going sailing ship.
The coat of arms of Torquhil Campbell, 13th Duke of Argyll found on the ceiling of Inveraray Castle’s Armoury Hall. I think the T.E stands for Torquhil and his wife, Eleanor.
If there is a more aptly named place anywhere please let me know. Windy little roads, a good lashing rain, and a massive 6-berth motorhome meant that I was ready to take the signpost literally! (Not literally take the signpost ).
We parked up for morning tea and enjoyed the view looking back down Glen Croe, happy that we had come up the new road and not the old military road.
