Jimbo – Mali Elephant by Janie Fearon. An Asian elephant, orangutans and on the opposite side a Sumatran tiger. All are endangered and helped by the conservation work at the Melbourne Zoo. Janie aimed to highlight their struggle to survive with her Mali.

Mali turns the City Pink
This elephant was part of the Melbourne Zoo 150th Anniversary celebrations. 50 fibre-glass elephant statues were scattered through the CBD in September and October 2012. The models were based on the recently born Mali. The elephants were later auctioned off to fund the Zoo’s conservation work.
