Jeff Thompson’s corrugated iron clad HQ Holden Kingswood in Wellington’s Te Papa Tongarewa Museum of New Zealand. Maybe Holden wasn’t a lost brand in 2005, but the well loved, and hated, Kingswood badge was having been replaced by the Commodore in 1978.
Previously posted on BrizBunny as Wellington Fern Ball, updated to a bigger clearer photo. This massive ball is 3.4m in diameter and 14m above the ground.

Update: No sooner do I hit post and I discover that these are in fact Nikau Palms, the most southerly of all palms trees, and a New Zealand native. These 10m tall metal versions were designed by Ian Athfield as part of the Wellington Library design.
