A young silver wattle leaf in a sunny spot in a gully on the farm.
I’m not entirely sure of the species, but I think it is one of the Armillaria species, Google thinks it is Armillaria luteobubalina.
An ash leaf floating in one of the baths in the yards at the farm. As I noted in the original post on BrizBunny, the sepia toning is all natural. It’s always interesting coming across photos again – the cropping and editing always seems to be the same!
The only difference is that the image is bigger this time around, because we don’t have the same hosting limits. From memory way back in 2008 BrizBunny had a total site limit of 10MB!
The Eternal Flame in the Second World War Forecourt of the Shrine of Remembrance.
ANZAC IS NOT MERELY ABOUT LOSS. IT IS ABOUT COURAGE
AND ENDURANCE, AND DUTY, AND LOVE OF COUNTRY,
AND MATESHIP, AND GOOD HUMOUR,
AND THE SURVIVAL OF A SENSE OF SELF-WORTH,
AND DECENCY IN THE FACE OF DREADFUL ODDS
The inscription on the western wall of the Shrine.:
“LET ALL MEN KNOW THAT THIS IS HOLY GROUND. THIS SHRINE, ESTABLISHED IN THE HEARTS OF MEN AS ON THE SOLID EARTH, COMMEMORATES A PEOPLE’S FORTITUDE AND SACRIFICE. YE THEREFORE THAT COME AFTER, GIVE REMEMBRANCE.“
The grevillea flower from before from the “pointy end”.
