The Hawksmoor designed Christ Church, Spitalfields. The pub next-door is named after the number of bells in the church’s peel – The Ten Bells. St Alfega’s in Greenwich is one of the other Hawksmoor designed Queen Anne Church.
One of the spots of interest on the Jack the Ripper tour. The Ten Bells has a connections with victims Annie Chapman and Mary Jane Kelly.
A rainy night and a busy schedule meant that we only grabbed a few photos. But the tour does come highly recommended for anyone with even a passing interest in the gruesome events of 1888.
