I had a bit of a surprise today when I made sure that there was nothing left in the workbench that I was putting out for the hard rubbish collection. Apparently, it had a new resident – a gecko – which are apparently common in Melbourne. This one had dropped it’s tail and is in the process of growing a new one. The dark interior of the bench and the gecko’s natural wood-blending colour scheme made for a challenging photo opportunity!
